The City of Montgomery Beautification and Tree Commission has awarded the 2020 Seasons of Beauty award to James (J) and Jane Fleckenstein.
The yard is adorned with both annuals and perennials in many textures and colors, including white, peach, pink, purple, and yellow. A red Threadleaf Japanese Maple, Blue Mink Ageratum, and White Bobo Hydrangeas highlight the yard along with numerous green boxwoods used as a backdrop. Twelve flats of pink Begonias are planted throughout the yard with vibrant window boxes and urns of Coleus, Impatiens, and Lantana accentuating the white, traditional home.
The Seasons of Beauty award recognizes homes and businesses in Montgomery with special front yards, window boxes, and planters that peak during specific seasons as well as those homes and businesses with decorative features that celebrate the “season” or holiday.
Nominate your home or neighbor’s home by emailing a photo and short description to aaronkellenberger@gmail.com.
The fall award winner will be selected in October/November and announced in the January Montgomery Bulletin.
