North America has lost nearly 1/3 of its bird population since 1970. Naturalist and Founder of The Roaming Naturalist, Jana Westhoven, will share simple actions to help our feathered friends at a time when they need it the most. This is a two-part presentation taking place on April 9 and October 15.

Part I takes place on April 9 and will consist of building a bird box and properly preparing the sounding habitat with native seeds for spring sowing. Part II takes place on October 15 and will consist of planting native seeds for winter sowing and other tips for assisting our bird friends during the colder temperatures. The total cost of both sessions is $15 and will cover the materials for building your own take-home bird box. Space is limited to 30 reservations.

Jana is an environmental scientist and wildlife advocate whose work is inspired by her lifelong curiosity and passion for the natural world.
