OctOctober 8 2024
The Montgomery Beautification and Tree Commission is hosting an event called “Learning to Love our Land: Managing our Yards to Save Native Pollinators.” Wildlife ecologist Doug Gilbert will discuss managing landscapes to help pollinators thrive. He focuses on conserving rare, threatened, and endangered species, such as birds, bees, and plants. The event will provide insights for creating spaces with diverse native plant assemblages to support native pollinator communities. Doug Gilbert co-founded Love Our Land, a nonprofit organization that empowers people to make positive changes for nature in their communities.
