Pioneer Building, c. 1818-1819

The building is Federal style. Abraham Slaughter was an early owner. Upon his death in 1830, the house was auctioned off for the top bid of $50.00. In 1840 it became the residence of Dr. John Naylor, a surgeon at Camp Dennison during the Civil War.
