Tai Chi

Tai ChiOften called a moving meditation, Tai Chi has its roots in martial arts. The movements are practiced slowly and smoothly with attention to proper posture and breathing. Tai Chi is easy to learn, effective and safe; it increases flexibility, muscle strength, heart/lung activity, aligns posture, improves balance, and integrates the mind and body.

Classes are taught by Master Tai Chi Trainer, Ralph Dehner.

Tai Chi – Yang Style

Yang style tai chi uses the slow, large movements that most people associate with tai chi. This style has become the most popular and provides a low-stress form of exercise. Some of the physical benefits that tai chi promotes include increased muscle strength, increased flexibility, eases stress, better physical coordination, and balance, and promotes overall health and wellness.

Classes are taught by Jill Mcquinn. She studied Tai Chi with her father, shifu (master) Ralph Dehner, for over 11 years. Jill is certified to teach Tai Chi for Arthritis (TCA), Tai Chi for Fall Prevention, Tai Chi for Rehabilitation and Yang Style.

This class is suited to ages 14 and up and all levels.
