The City of Montgomery has a comprehensive network of sidewalks throughout the community creating a pedestrian link to our parks and neighborhoods. Sidewalks are an integral part in providing a pedestrian- friendly residential community. Distance markers, every 1/10 of a mile, are embedded in the primary corridor sidewalks to assist pedestrians and runners in monitoring the distance they have traveled. The City will inspect and provide structural maintenance on all public sidewalks including replacement of cracked blocks, pavers, etc. Residents are responsible for all routine maintenance including cleaning, snow removal and weed control.
