The City awarded the 2024 street resurfacing program to John R. Jurgensen Company. This year’s program includes 4.6 centerline miles of public roadway. The following streets will be completed:
- Shadowhill Way (Windhaven Court to Lakewater Drive)
- Lakewater Drive
- Valleystream Drive
- Deerfield Road (Montgomery Road to Hartford Hill Lane)
- Hartford Hill Lane
- Kenilworth Lane
- Huntersknoll Court
- Ivygate Lane
- Schoolhouse Lane (Montgomery Road to west terminus)
- Old Farm Court
- Oldtown Court
- Tollgate Lane
- Knollbrook Terrace
- Shelldale Way
- Jolain Drive (Knollbrook Terrace to Tollgate Lane)
- Remington Road (Montgomery Road to east corporation limit)
- Cooper Road (Montgomery Road to east corporation limit)
- Main Street (1-lane width between Cooper Road and #9526 Main Street)
- Hartfield Place
The work entails complete milling and asphalt resurfacing, along with “spot” curb replacement and storm drainage inlet repairs. Construction is anticipated to begin in April and most streets will be complete by August (Huntersknoll Court and portions of Deerfield Road might be resurfaced later in the year).
You may be asking: Why isn’t the section of Montgomery Road getting resurfaced in front of Bethesda North Hospital?
Montgomery Road between Pfeiffer Road and Weller Road has not been included in our annual resurfacing program for the past few years, and again this year, as it is scheduled to be resurfaced in Fall of 2025. Montgomery Road, being a state route, is eligible for state funding through the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). ODOT has agreed to pay 80%, or roughly $450,000, of the resurfacing cost as part of their Fiscal Year 2026 budget, which begins in Fall of 2025.
